Career Programs

Career Programs are designed to help students develop skills, knowledge and attitudes by combining classroom skills and work experiences. Career Programs are open to students in Grades 11 & 12 and provide students with the opportunity to:

  • develop job seeking skills (application process, interview skills, resume writing, etc.)
  • experience the world of work in a variety of careers while still in high school
  • develop and refine employability skills
  • link course curriculum learned in high school to the world of work
  • gain post secondary credits (program specific where applicable)
  • develop self-confidence and self-esteem
  • complete the 30 hours of work experience graduation requirement
