Student Recognition & Awards 2024-2025

**Honour Roll will be calculated and awarded at the end of Semester 1 and Semester 2. Please see the criteria below**

Awards	Qualifications
Honour Roll	Grade 10-12 students who attain a 3.0 GPA (B Average) on their report cards achieve Honour Roll standing.
Conditions	Students must be enrolled in at least 3 graded courses each semester. Honour Roll will be calculated based on the average GPA of all courses. If students get a mark of C- in at least one subject, this will disqualify the student from being considered for Honour Roll. Youth in Trades programs will be counted towards average GPA. Full-year career courses will be counted only for Semester 2 Honour Roll.
Service Awards	Presented to students who make a service contribution to the school or community. Minor Service Award: min 50+ hours Major Service Award: min 100+ hours
Athletic Awards	Presented to the outstanding male and female athlete. Award criteria includes participation, good sportsmanship and commitment.
Scholarships & Financial Aid	Information on scholarships, awards and bursaries are available on the Scholarship Team.
Gold Cord	Presented to graduating students who achieve Honour Roll status in each Semester/Term in grades 10-12.
Class Recognition	Presented to students by their teachers to recognize excellence in the areas of: Personal and Social Responsibility, Enthusiasm for Learning, Academic Achievement, Communication, Critical Thinking, Growth, Creativity, and Leadership.
