Burnaby Mountain Secondary School recognizes the importance of students getting involved in community service. Students in Grade 8-12 can collect Community Service Hours by volunteering in the school and in the community.
Awards will be given to students who meet the following criteria:
- Minor Service Award – 50-99 Service Hours
- Major Service Award – 100+ Service Hours
Students can hand in Community Service Hour forms in either Grade 10 or Grade 12 for recognition:
- Junior Service Award (Grades 8-10): Hours completed between September of Grade 8 up to April 30th of Grade 10.
- Senior Service Award (Grades 11-12): Hours completed between May 1st of Grade 10 up to April 30th of Grade 12.
All Community Service Hours forms are due by April 30 2024, to the Career Centre.
