Moose Hide Campaign

The Moose Hide Campaign

The Moose Hide campaign is an Indigenous-led BC based grassroots movement which strives to open up conversations about gender-based violence while promoting ideas of positive masculinity and raising awareness for Canada’s missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, and two-spirit peoples.

Conversation starter moose hide pins are being given out for free to anyone who wishes to speak out against gender-based violence and promote ideas of positive masculinity.

This year, Moose Hide day is on Thursday, May 12th. On this day we will welcome Elder Wes Nahanee into the Burnaby Mountain community to hold an opening ceremony.  Our community Elder will then invite us to walk together as step toward healing, raising awareness, and working toward truth and reconciliation.
