The Burnaby School District offers many District Industry Training Programs that allow students to gain extensive hands-on training in various areas. These District Programs provide the opportunity for students in grades 11 & 12 to gain knowledge and skills that can lead to industry certification, apprenticeship, and/or the development of a portfolio. Please also find below the link to the application for the District Industry Training Programs. Paper copies of the application are also available in the Career Centre. The deadline to submit an application is Thursday, March 31st but we encourage students to submit their application as soon as possible as spots do fill up quickly in many of the programs. Please submit all competed applications to Ms. Gingras in the Career Centre in person or via email at cynthia.gingras@burnabyschools.ca. Please note that Grade 12 students can still apply for many of the programs and return for an extra year to complete them.
Special Note: If your student is in Grade 11 or 12 currently, there are spots available this summer in the Plumbing program. Applications for this program are due ASAP as interviews will be scheduled for the week of February 14th.
